So maybe I'm the only one who was struggling with this but I couldn't get the overlay to work correctly and I hated not knowing who was talking (not all of us have a distinctive voice). I found this page detailing how to get the Mumble overlay operating correctly. Only took me three minutes to set it up and it works great!
